ARTSFEST 2021

My work is inspired by paintings of Greek gods and goddesses and reimagines myself as the goddess of architecture. I chose architecture because that is what I am majoring in! It features an image of me centered in a blue sky wearing a flowing white dress like goddess would wear. Finally I finished with gold accents and images of architecture from ancient Greece and Rome.
Created by the maiden goddess Hestia in her image, the goddess of architecture was formed from clay and given life. Being the goddess of the home and hearth, Hestia wanted a daughter who could reside over construction and architecture, and despite already having devoted herself to maidenhood, she found a way to create her. The new goddess now resides over all forms of architecture and bestows knowledge to those who choose to follow her guidance. Innovative technologies and beautiful ornamentation of Greek and Roman buildings are thanks to her direction and teachings.
