ARTSFEST 2021

This painting, A Planet’s Perspective, illustrates a thriving and vibrant solar system, except for Earth, which has become discolored and grim. I have portrayed myself as the Goddess of Philosophy, with features of Mother Nature, as I hold and comfort our Earth that has suffered pain from humanity’s selfishness. The disheartening quality of the Earth is a result of people’s lack of respect for nature, as well as for each other, as social and political tensions continuously rise and destroy a life that we should cherish. Therefore, by creating this depiction through a single moment on a canvas, I hope that you, the audience, will be grateful for the good little things, will brush off the bad little things, and will gain perspective on humanity’s position in the universe, realizing that there is so much we do not know, so emitting negative energy will not assist in finding any answers.
