ARTSFEST 2021

The piece, made with watercolor, black pen, and colored pencils, depicts a Greek goddess of balance and measurement who I modeled after myself. I value balance and meticulousness and find myself looking for balance and patterns often in my daily life. I depicted the goddess walking across a tight rope to reflect my constant search for balance. She is carrying a ruler which aids her in centering herself and also reflects my careful side which values precision such as the precision needed in making a measurement. The ruler also more directly reflects my interest in mathematics and engineering.
